On Tuesday, we met up with my friend Amy and her son Luke who live in Raleigh, NC. Amy and I grew up down the street from each other since 5th grade. Luke is only 4 months younger than Colby, but they had a great time together. If they lived closer, I'm sure the boys would be great friends!

Bridgewater Carnival
I took Colby to visit his great-grandma Diehl in Bridgewater, VA. While we were there, they were having a carnival. So, we ate country ham sandwiches, pie a la mode, and rode some rides. Colby loved the merry-go-round. Everytime he came around, he would look for me and wave.
On the way home, we stopped in Winchester at one of our favorite childhood spots! Colby was cranky, but he perked up for this treat...until it was time to get back in the car.

4th of July
All the neighborhood kids met up at the flagpole and had a bike parade. Colby rode a little 4-wheeler that goes when you push a button. Unfortunately, he hasn't learned to steer yet and it moves pretty slowly. But, Jason got a stick to push him around the circle.
Jason even got in on the fun as he rode around on a custom bike one of the neighbors brought over.
Then, we went out on the boat with Pa and Gigi to watch the fireworks.
