Jason and I have been married 10 years! It's so hard to believe that we met each other 13 years ago at a bar in Georgetown, and now we've been married 10 years and will have our 3rd child in a few weeks. Life is going by so fast, but we are trying to enjoy every minute of it.
Unfortunately, we didn't get to celebrate the way we wanted to....with a weekend getaway to Florida. Instead, we spent our anniversary with the lovely nurses and doctors at Anne Arundel Medical Center. I'm 31 weeks pregnant with our 3rd son, and I went into preterm labor with strong contractions 3 min apart on Wednesday night. So, I went to the doctor Thursday morning...after spending the whole night running my oldest son, Colby, back and forth to the bathroom or rubbing his back as he puked into a bucket. Poor guy. Luckily, just a short lived bug that didn't spread to the rest of us!
I probably should've gone into the hospital Wednesday night, but Jason was out of town (just in Reston), so I couldn't leave my big guy with the neighbor like that.
Anyways, the doctors were able to stop the contractions. So, now I'll be on bedrest for the next 5 weeks. We've been scrambling to figure out how to keep the boys entertained so I can stay off my feet so this little guy can grow a little more. After a few interviews, we found a wonderful nanny who the boys love playing with. Jason has taken over the role of cooking, cleaning, bathing, and putting the kids to bed every night...along with his normal job.
So, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to my sweet, kind, giving, husband who is always there for me and our family. I love you, and I look forward to many more decades together.
