Colby's 1st Day of Preschool

Today is Colby's 1st day of Preschool this year. He's been going to a preschool type program for the past 2 years, but this year he actually let me take his picture! :) He's going 3 mornings per week. Logan wanted to stay and play with the toys too, but I'm not quite ready for him to start school yet.

Here's my cute 4.5 yr old ready to head to school!

A little silliness for the day too.

Gavin's 1st photo shoot

I decided to try to take some photos of Gavin this morning. I wanted some sleepy shots, but he was wide awake through it all. That's ok. I love the photos I got.

Gavin Owen Winters

Our 3rd beautiful son has arrived! I had my 40 wk checkup this morning, and I hadn't progressed much. I was also measuring small, so they sent me over for a sonogram to make sure everything was ok. Everything was great, thankfully!

I started having contractions while we were out to dinner, about 7pm. I've had a lot of contractions over the past 9 weeks, so I wasn't sure it was really labor or not. We headed home, and I asked Jason to put the kids to bed because I wanted to time the contractions and rest a bit. Well, over the next hour, the contractions because stronger, so I knew something was up. I called my neighbor to come watch the kids and we headed to the hospital at 9:30pm. As we made the 3 minute drive to the hospital, my contractions became closer (2 min apart) and much stronger.

At 10:06pm, Gavin Owen Winters arrived! The cord was wrapped around his neck, so that was a scary few minutes, but everything turned out just fine. He's happy, calm and easy going so far. Colby and Logan are loving every bit of him!

Our new family of 5!

Sweet smiles

While we wait for baby brother to join us (he's due today!!), the boys and Emma helped me make homemade chocolate biscuits this morning. They were delicious!

Logan even said "Thank you mommy for making muffins. They're good. I like em!" Love him! :)

I got these sweet smiles while they were eating them.

Walking hand in hand

Love these two!

Potty Training Logan

Logan decided to start potty training himself a few months ago. At first, it seemed like a fluke since he wasn't even two. He wasn't very consistent. Just going once or twice a week. Now, he wants to go all the time. He just tells me he has to go to the bathroom.
This weekend, he woke up at 2am both days to go potty. That is not fun for mommy!

He also knows he'll get a treat (M&Ms) if he goes.

I bought him Lightening mcQueen Pullups yesterday, and he thinks they're big boy pants.

I think we've been 15 times this morning! :) a little crazy, but to only have 1 kid in diapers does sound great!

Logan Says/Does...

I keep forgetting to write this down, but I wanted to document some of the things Logan is saying these days:

- "Mommy is Tricia. Daddy is Jason. Colby Mitchell. Yogan."
- Logan can say most of the words to Baa Baa Black Sheep, Hey Diddle Diddle, Hickory Dickory Doc, Humpty Dumpty
- He counts to 20...sort of. Usually it's 1,2,3,4,6,9,10,11,12,13,16,19,20!
- He knows his colors. Blue is his favorite.
- "My tummy hurts. I need to go bathroom." - Then, he pees on the potty!
- He tells me that he likes mac & cheese, chicken, salad (cesear), and snacks.
- His favorite books to read (or be read to him) are: Thomas: A crack in the track, Thomas: Stop Train Stop, Trucks, Planes, Hush Little Digger, Monster at the end of this book (1 of my faves as a kid).
- He loves to pretend. I love listening to Colby & Logan playing pretend together with their guys or riding their trikes around the house.
