Tuckered out jumperoo

Colby was jumping in his johnny jumper while I got a few things done. I turned around and this is what I found...poor little guy.

Babysitting

Emma was here this weekend, and she was a great babysitter to Colby.




Our power went out Saturday night, so we had a campout in front of the fireplace. Emma made sure Colby was okay while she played her computer game Uncle Jay got her.

2 Month Dr. Visit

Colby had his 2 month checkup today. He had 4 shots :( The doctor said he's doing really well though. He's 11 lbs. 3 oz. & 22.5 in. long.

He's smiling a lot, sucking on his fingers/fists, trying to stand, loves to jump, and looks around at his surroundings. He's even sleeping 5hrs straight at night! We can't believe how much he's changed!

New York City

Jason has been working in NYC a lot lately, so Colby & I decided to tag along w/ him this time. We took the train up, and Colby did really well. We didn't do too much sightseeing since this was our 1st trip, but we had a good time. We hope to go back soon.

8 weeks & getting so big

Colby is growing & getting big so fast! He's much more alert now, cooing & making lots of little noises.

Colby is 1 month old now. We went for his checkup. The doctor said he's doing great. Colby is 8 lbs. 2 oz. and 20.5 inches tall.

Merry Christmas!

We hope everyone had a Merry Christmas with their families and friends. Colby enjoyed his 1st Christmas. We enjoyed spending time with everyone at our house.

Baby Winters is Here!

It's been a whirlwind!

On Monday, December 3, 2007, I felt some pressure most of the day, but figured it was just the baby dropping. Then, around 6pm, I started feeling some contractions. They weren't very strong, but about 5 min. apart. I called the doctor, and he told me to call back when they were stronger, when I couldn't talk during them but had to breathe through them. Over the next hour, they became closer together and a bit strong, but I could still talk through them. I called my sister-in-law, Niki, at about 7:00pm and asked what she thought. She told me to go to the hospital, just to be sure.

We packed our bags and casually left the house, thinking we'd be in for a long night. We got to the hospital at 8:30 pm. The nurses checked me, and I was 9.5 cm dilated!!! I looked at Jason, and he thought I was freaking out because the baby was coming right then. In reality, all I was thinking was NO EPIDURAL!?!?! Oh my god!

Colby Mitchell Winters arrived a few minutes later at 9:20 p.m. He was 6 lbs. 0 oz. and 18.5 in. long. He didn't have a name until this morning (the 5th). We're home now, and excited to start this new chapter in our lives! :)

39 weeks

I went to the doctor today...I'm 4 cm dilated! That was pretty shocking since I haven't felt any contractions. So, it shouldn't be too much longer now!

The baby room is ready...





We're just waiting (somewhat patiently) for our little one to arrive. We can't wait to see him!

Baby Shower

My sister & sister-in-law threw me a shower this weekend. It was really great! We are so appreciative of everyone coming and all the gifts we received. I really enjoyed seeing all my friends who I don't see much now that we're in MD.

Baby Room

We're still working on the baby room, but it's coming along. We've got all the furniture except for a glider. Here are a few pictures of what we have so far...

Labor Day Weekend

We spent the weekend painting the baby room, boating, and visiting with family.

Here I am at 23 weeks. The baby is now moving around quite a bit. I can actually see him punching my stomach sometimes! :)
