Today, we had a neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt. Colby didn't really get it at first, but then he got the hang of it and started collecting the eggs.

Ski Trip
We took a quick trip to Wintergreen Ski Resort for the weekend. This was Colby's first trip to the slopes. They had a great kids park that he and Emma got to play at for awhile. They had a tee-pee with a fire pit inside where we roasted marshmallows and made smores!

It was so much fun! We really enjoyed watching all the little kids zoom down the slopes. We can't wait until Colby is old enough to learn to ski!

Summer in February
We have really enjoyed this burst of warm weather. Colby's loved going outside to play.

Here are a couple of pictures of Colby around the house in his onesie:

And this is how I found Colby sleeping during his nap this morning. He loves these blocks. They're like his "buddy" or "lovey". He likes to sleep with his arm through the whole. It's pretty cute.

Bear Creek & Philadelphia
After the train show, we drove to Bear Creek Mountain Ski Resort to check it out. We just ate dinner and watched the night skiiers. Made us wish we were on the mountains too! So, we'll be planning a ski trip soon! We did take Colby out and used a lunch tray to let him slide down the mountain. He liked it until he fell over and got snow on him. Then, he was done.

The next day, we drove to Philadelphia (about an hour) and toured the sights. It was pretty cold, but we got to see a lot of great things...the LOVE sign, Liberty Hall, The Liberty Bell, ate a Philly cheesesteak, The Philadelphia Museum of Art where Rocky climbed the stairs).

Trains Trains Trains
Colby now has a wooden train table at our house and Jason bought an electric train to go around the tree. So, this past weekend we took a trip to PA to see a train show (whoo hoo!) There were tons of trains set up, thousands of people, and a Thomas the Train ride (that was the best part in my opinion). Colby did really well in the car up there and back, especially considering it took us almost an hour to go 5 miles when we got to the exit for the show. Who knew so many people were obsessed with trains! :)

Christmas Tour 2008
I've been slacking on my blog entries, so I'll have to catch up.
We had a wonderful Christmas morning at home in Annapolis, and then we hit the road to visit our family. This was Colby's second Christmas, but it really felt like his first since he was so small last year. Colby had a great time playing with his cousins and seeing everyone. We went to Nana's, then to Harrisonburg to see my grandparents, then to Pa's, and then to Grandad & Grandma Brigitte's house. It was a whirlwind, but we enjoyed visiting with everyone.
