Lilly Turns One!

Our sweet little niece turned ONE on April 25th! We can't believe how fast this year has gone, and how great she's doing despite being born so small. Adam & Niki had a wonderful Princess party at their house, and we all had a great time. Lilly even started crawling the next day!

Nags Head - Day at the Beach Pics

Nags Head - Spring Break

We spent a week in Nags Head, NC for Spring Break with Nana, Adam, Niki, Lilly, Jacob, Amy, and Emma. It was a great trip, and we really enjoyed seeing and staying next to my grandparents who live there year round.
Swinging at a park in Manteo.

Lilly will be 1 in a couple of weeks. She's such a sweet little girl.

One rainy day, we took the kids to the aquarium in Manteo. It was perfect for them with a tank they could touch stingrays, sea urchins, and starfish. The boys loved it!

Green Popsicles

For St. Patrick's Day, we made green smoothies for dinner. Colby loved them, so I turned the leftover into popsicles the next day. He had no idea he was actually eating something good for him :)

Recipe:
In a food processer/blender mix the following:
- Banana
- Apple/Pineapple Juice
- Milk (just a little)
- 1 tsp sugar
- fresh spinach (hence the green color)

For the smoothies, I crused in ice as well.
They're actually really good. The sugar and the banana cut the bitterness of the spinach.

Hours of Fun

I'm not sure how this idea popped in my head, but it sure was a success.

I got 2 big bowls and a few measuring cups & spoons out. Then, I poured some dry rice in one bowl. Colby had the best time scooping the rice out of one bowl and pouring it into the other. He even started leveling off his measuring cup like we do when we bake. This cheap little activity kept him busy for hours! Since we kept it on the hardwood floors, cleanup was easy too.

Oh Boy!

We're very excited for this summer, when we will welcome another baby BOY into our family! We had a sonogram today, and we got some really great pictures and saw our handsome baby boy move and kick and show off for the camera! We even saw him open his mouth and stick out his tongue! :) I am 19 weeks along. Baby Boy #2 Winters should make his debut in the middle of July.

Jason got some video clips with his phone, so we'll try to get them up later this week.

Being bashful...he kept putting his hands to his face.

Just to compare, here's my post from when Colby was 18 weeks. It's amazing how much the technology has changed in just 2 years.

A Day at the Aquarium

We met up with my brother and his family at the Baltimore Aquarium last weekend. The boys had a great time looking at all the fish. Jacob knew what all the sharks were and enjoyed telling us about them.

First, we saw the Dolphin show. Colby loved seeing the dolphins jump out of the water.

Jacob & Colby were best-buds holding hands throughout the Aquarium.

Checking out the jellyfish.

More Snow pictures

Jason shoveled out a snow fort for Colby to play in our front yard. He liked being able to walk around play with the snow much better.

That's Jason squeezing through the tunnel he made for Colby.

The snow keeps coming!

Last weekend, we got about 30" of snow! It's absolutely crazy and unbelievable! Looking outside is almost uncomprehendable. We took Colby out in the snow to see what he thought of it. He was more content to sit on top the snow than play in it.

Colby enjoyed eating the snow!

Playing in the neighbor's igloo

Sledding with daddy. He wasn't a big fan.

Hot cocoa break!

The crazy thing is that it's not over! We're getting more snow right now! They're calling for another 10-18". I don't know if the roads will ever get cleared at this rate.
