Spiderman Party

We had a small birthday party with our family to celebrate Colby's birthday. I made a Spiderman cake, and we had fun playing with all the cousins.

Birthday Fun

Colby turned 3 this week! Where is time going?!? Seriously, where? It seems like these past 3 years have flown by. I'm sure I'll be the saying the same thing in 3 more years and 10 and 15 too! :) On his actual birthday, we started off the day with some homemade cinnamon rolls (Thanks to Nadine for the yummy recipe!)

Then, we celebrated by going to a fun bounce-house place with some friends from his school. It was nice because most other kids were at school, so we had lots of room to run and play.

Tractors and Leaves

We started off Thanksgiving week at Pa's house. Colby and Jacob had a sleepover the first night. They had a ball driving Pa's tractors around the cul-de-sac! They were even good about trading and taking turns.

Logan's turn

The boys decided to play bumper tractors, which they thought was very funny!

Fun in the leaves!

Thanks for the fun toys Pa!

Choosing the perfect card

Anyone who reads our blog knows I love taking photos of my children, family, and friends. When I heard Shutterfly was giving away holiday cards, I was so excited because their photo cards are beautful and so easy to personalize. Getting the perfect shot of my toddler and infant who aren't always in the mood is another story!

I always have a hard time choosing my Christmas cards to send to friends and family. Whether it be because I have too many pictures or because I only have 1 good one. The past couple of years though, I have been using Shutterfly's cards. They're really easy to put together, and many come with various photo openings. So, you can find the best one for your family.

I still haven't decided on our holiday card, since we haven't taken our family photos yet, but here are a few of my favorites from this year's collection.

I love the idea of using one great picture as the focus of the card with the colorful words overtop.

Ho Ho Ho!
I think this one with Santa's belt is really cute! Like most of Shutterfly's cards, you can choose different layouts. This one comes with the option to put in 1 picture or 4. You can also put more pictures or text in a variety of layouts on the inside.

Another great one.

I like this idea for Logan's birthday next summer. I wanted something like this for Colby's 1st birthday, but I wasn't able to find one then. Now, here it is! I'll have to make sure I take pictures every month (haha! that's not too hard!)

Thanksgiving with Family

We spent the week in VA with our families eating lots of great food and spending time with everyone.

Lilly, or Lillybird as Colby likes to call her, is so sweet.

We had a great time seeing everyone, and even managed to squeeze in a little Black Friday shopping.

Little Boys

My little boys are growing up so fast. Here's a card I recently created through Shutterfly to show how fast Logan is growing. He's 4 months now. Time is flying by!

Thankful for my cars

We were talking to Colby on our way out to visit family this Thanksgiving about why we celebrate Thanksgiving and what we're thankful for. When we asked Colby what he was thankful for, he said, "my mommy, my daddy, Logan, Nana, Gigi, Pa, Grandad, Grandma, Uncle Matt, Uncle Adam, Aunt Niki, Aunt Amy, Shawnie, Emma, Jacob, Lillybird and my cars". He can't forget his cars!

Rockin'

My dad gave us this rocking chair over the weekend. Logan sat in it for awhile, and seemed to really like it.

I love his little expression in this one.

Logan sits!

Logan sat up for a couple seconds by himself! Long enough for me to snap a picture anyways! He's starting to show interest in his toys, and he kicks his legs when he gets excited about something.

Fall Harvest

Colby's school had a Fall Harvest Party. They all wore the crafts they made at school that month...a handprint turkey shirt, turkey leg hat, macaroni necklaces, and drums. Parents were invited to the feast, and they all beat their drums to music. It was really cute to watch.

Visit with Nadine

My very good friend, Nadine, came for a visit with her twins from Luxembourg. We had such a great time playing with the kids, catching up, and making homemade cinnamon rolls.

Playdough is fun!

Nadine and I took the kids to Baltimore to visit our friend Nicole and her new baby Adelyn. We tried to get a picture of all the kids and moms together, but that was next to impossible to get 5 toddlers, 2 infants, and 3 moms to sit still together!

Playtime Outside

We had a nice day, so we went outside to play for a little while while Logan was taking a nap.

What he does most of the time...RUNNING! :)

Wishing this was in focus, but I still love his little face anyways.

My grandparents who live in NC came for a visit for my cousin's baby shower. So, we all got together so they could see the kids and meet Logan for the first time.

Happy Halloween

The week before Halloween, we all were hit with a terrible stomach virus. It's awful to watch your little boys throw up!

On a better note, I took Colby & Logan out trick or treating. Colby was a little timid at the first house, but when he turned around, he had the biggest smile on his face and said, "I got candy! I want to go to another one!". After he got a lollipop at one house, he would then report to me whether or not he got a lollipop at each house. It was really cute.

Logan meets Great Grandma Diehl

We took Logan to Bridgewater to meet my grandmother. She's 93 years old, and doing pretty well.
