Lil Pumpkin
We took Colby to the Green Meadows Petting Farm this weekend. He loved seeing all the animals, especially the goats. His daddy was not too thrilled with letting him touch them though. We also got a photo op with all the pumpkins.

Jason's Birthday
We had a lot of fun for Jason's birthday.
Colby finger painted his daddy some great artwork. He wasn't sure what to do at first, but he got the hang of it.
We took daddy out to dinner at Harris' Crab House. Colby didn't have any crabs, but he had his first taste of corn on the cob.

He couldn't get enough of it!
Then, we watched the Skins beat the Eagles! Go Skins!
Oh, and Jason got a new car! We traded in my Cougar. Hard to believe I had that car for almost 10 years. It was great, but we needed a 2nd car with 4 doors and a car that gets better gas mileage. So, Jason got a Toyota Camry. Photos to come.

September Birthdays
We spent 2 weekends in a row in Northern Va with Colby's grandparents.
Sept. 15th was Grandad's birthday. We went to a bbq at Matt's to celebrate.

Sept. 22nd was Grandma Gigi's birthday, so we went to her house for a bbq and to watch the Redskins beat the Cardinals. Go SKINS! :)

This is Grandma Gigi's cake that we made out of cake balls. I found the recipe online, and it's been a hit so far. This lady's website is so fun! I love looking at all her creative creations!
Jason's birthday is next!

Taking Steps
Here are 2 short videos of Colby taking steps tonight. The past few weeks he's been getting more and more adventurous. He's taken a step here and there, but mostly he's just lets go of the couch and dives forward. Tonight he let go and took two little steps. He was very excited about it, and so were we!

9 Months old
Colby is 9 months old now. We go for his 9 month checkup in a couple of weeks. I can't believe how fast time is just flying by! He's pulling up on everything, cruising around the room holding onto any piece of furniture he can get his hands on, walking around holding 1 of our fingers, and almost ready to walk on his own. These past 9 months have gone by much faster than the 9 months he was growing inside me. Our little baby is growing into a little boy who will be 1 in just 3 short months.

Labor Day Weekend
We spent Labor Day Weekend out in Norther Virginia visiting family members. Pa was nice enough to ride around with us while we car shopped. We haven't bought anything yet, but probably soon.

Grandad & Grandma Winters told us all about their trip to France & Russia. They brought Colby back some fun souvenirs too.

We also enjoyed our al fresco dinner with Nana.

Lake Gaston '08
We just got back from a great week at Lake Gaston (on the VA/NC border). My dad, Amy, Shawn, Emma, Adam, Niki, Jacob, and the 3 of us were all there for the 3rd year in a row. There's no internet or cell phone signal around, so we just enjoy the peace & quiet and the beautiful views. Colby even got us up early one morning for a sunrise boat ride on the lake. The 2 cousins had a great time together. Colby already misses Emma & Jacob.

I found this site, wordle, where it searches your blog and finds the most common words and makes an image like this.

Sleeping
FINALLY!! COLBY IS FINALLY SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT!! We've had a few nights here and there, but he has successfully slept through the night every night this week. He goes to bed about 8:30 pm and sleeps until 7 or 8:00 in the morning. After 7.5 months, it's so nice to get a good night's sleep.

This is how we find Colby sleeping a lot.

4th of July
We had a fun 4th of July. We took Colby for a walk and then on his first boat ride. He had a great time, even though we ended up going in before the fireworks show. Oh well, next year!

This is so much fun!

We spent the next day running errands and took Colby to a park. He just loves to swing! We're going to have to get one up in our yard soon.

Cruise to Bermuda
We took a Royal Carribean cruise to Bermuda for our friends Mark & Michaela's wedding. They got married on the beach, and it was beautiful. We left Colby home with his Nana, which was really hard on us. We missed him terribly, but he had a great time. It was wonderful to see him when we got into Port Baltimore though.

All dressed up for the Formal Night, which happened to also be our 6th wedding anniversary

Coming into the port at Bermuda

Tricia, Kelley, Michaela, and Leslie on the last night

Our last night on the cruise at sunset. We had a great time, but we were ready to get home to see our little boy!!

Rehoboth Beach
We took Colby to Rehoboth Beach this weekend for the 1st time. The weather was beautiful and we had a great time with Jason's mom, Uncle Matt, James & Diogie.

Colby loves being tickled!

Colby woke us up at 4:30 am and was wide awake. So, we took a walk on the boardwalk and watched the sun come up. We were tired, but it was beautiful.

Walker Fun
Colby loves his walker. He likes to walk up and down the hallway. Won't be long before he's walking without it! :)
