Oh Boy!

We're very excited for this summer, when we will welcome another baby BOY into our family! We had a sonogram today, and we got some really great pictures and saw our handsome baby boy move and kick and show off for the camera! We even saw him open his mouth and stick out his tongue! :) I am 19 weeks along. Baby Boy #2 Winters should make his debut in the middle of July.

Jason got some video clips with his phone, so we'll try to get them up later this week.

Being bashful...he kept putting his hands to his face.

Just to compare, here's my post from when Colby was 18 weeks. It's amazing how much the technology has changed in just 2 years.

A Day at the Aquarium

We met up with my brother and his family at the Baltimore Aquarium last weekend. The boys had a great time looking at all the fish. Jacob knew what all the sharks were and enjoyed telling us about them.

First, we saw the Dolphin show. Colby loved seeing the dolphins jump out of the water.

Jacob & Colby were best-buds holding hands throughout the Aquarium.

Checking out the jellyfish.

More Snow pictures

Jason shoveled out a snow fort for Colby to play in our front yard. He liked being able to walk around play with the snow much better.

That's Jason squeezing through the tunnel he made for Colby.

The snow keeps coming!

Last weekend, we got about 30" of snow! It's absolutely crazy and unbelievable! Looking outside is almost uncomprehendable. We took Colby out in the snow to see what he thought of it. He was more content to sit on top the snow than play in it.

Colby enjoyed eating the snow!

Playing in the neighbor's igloo

Sledding with daddy. He wasn't a big fan.

Hot cocoa break!

The crazy thing is that it's not over! We're getting more snow right now! They're calling for another 10-18". I don't know if the roads will ever get cleared at this rate.

Hi Great-Grandpa & Great-Grams!!

Our North Carolina Grandparents (Great-Grandpa Fish & Great-Grams) have finally gotten high speed internet access! WHOO HOO! Now, you'll be able to see all the fun things we do!

Sweet Boy

Jason gave me studio lights for Christmas. Now, I am NO WAY near good enough to have a studio (not even close!), but he has high ambitions for me! I thought I'd try them out on my favorite subject...my sweet little boy, who is growing up so fast! It's not very often that he wants to sit and let me take his picture, but he was very willing today, and even practiced his "Cheese" smile! :)

ICE at the National Harbor

We stopped at the National Harbor to see the ICE show on display outside the Gaylord Hotel. It was really amazing. Beautiful ice sculptures and 4 large slides inside the tent. It was freezing inside though, only 9 degrees, so everyone had to wear these big blue parkas. We only stayed inside for about 15-20 minutes.

Christmas 2009

We had a great Christmas visiting with family. First thing Colby did when he woke up on Christmas morning was to find the little piece of a cookie that Santa left behind.

We spent Christmas evening at Adam & Niki's house with Jacob, Lilly, Nana, Emma & Amy.

Trying out some of my new presents: green screen software and box lights. Colby just loves his baby cousin, Lilly. She's 8 months old now and doing great!

This is Colby's new "Cheese" face. He just started doing this. Now, he'll sit and say "Mommy cheese", and he wants me to take his picture. We think it's so funny!

Big Snow

We got a huge snow storm a few days before Christmas. It dumped about 2 feet of snow in Annapolis. It was almost funny to look outside and see so much snow everywhere. It cancelled school for 3 days, so all the kids were happy.

Colby wasn't too fond of all the snow. I guess I wouldn't be either if it was up to my waist.

Going cross-country skiing with daddy. They didn't get very far :)

Sledding down the big hill. Colby thought this was lots of fun!

Christmas Tree

I enjoyed creating our Christmas cards this year, and I played around with my camera settings (& a tripod) to get this shot of Colby at the tree. I also hid fruit snacks in the tree to get him to look at it like this :)

Here it is in black & white:

Train Party

On Saturday, we had a train themed party for Colby's 2nd birthday. We even got a couple inches of snow. I thought it was kind of early for snow, but I remembered that it was snowing on the day we brought Colby home from the hospital. Luckily, we live less than a mile away. We had a great time, we appreciate everyone coming out in the weather, and Colby is now all set with lots of train toys!

The train cake I made:

Emma & Jacob were big helpers while Colby was opening his presents.
