Cousins Visit

Uncle Adam, Aunt Niki, Jacob & Lilly came for a visit to meet Logan. Jacob was really great with Logan and Lilly is growing so big. She's walking a few steps now and just a sweet little girl.

Colby and Logan went for a little bike ride and had a fun race on the way back.

Swimming Pool

We took Colby to a little Mommy & Me swim lesson this week. Since Mommy can't get in the water right now, Nana jumped in and helped. He wasn't too keen on swimming with the instructor, but he is becoming quite the little fish!

Then, Emma came up for a visit for the week, and the two cousins have had a ball at the pool.

Slip n slide

Jason showed Colby a video on YouTube of children on a slip n slide. He immediately wanted to do it too. We picked one up for him, and he had a blast playing on it. It's been a great way to cool off in this hot and humid weather.

Jason had to give it a try too!

Like father like son

Colby loves to mow the grass with his daddy. Everytime Jason goes out to mow the grass, Colby runs out to get his lawn mower.

Maui, HI

In Maui, we had a few work events to go to, but we also were able to get out and explore the island too.
The first night, we had a work sponsored Luau to attend. It was a beautiful evening on the beach with great food and a fun band.

We got a late start on our trip to Hana. The road winded back and forth just like I remembered, but the view was beautiful.

Probably the most unique part of our trip was finding a little beach in Lahaina, where a native climbed up a tree and knocked down a fresh coconut for us. We drank the milk, and then he cracked it open and we ate fresh coconut!

It was a wonderful trip! We are greatful for everyone who helped out at home with Colby while we were off in Paradise!

Oahu, HI

Oahu was a lot of fun. We stayed in Waikiki at the Moana Surfrider Hotel. It was a beautiful hotel, and right on the beach. We spent the first day at the beach relaxing from the long flight.

Over the next few days, we visited toured the island to see Pearl Harbor,
Dole Plantation, where we saw tons of pineapples, and we ate pineapple ice cream and pineapple turnovers

From there, we drove up to North Beach. North Beach is famous for the big pipeline waves and surfing. The surf wasn't too big, but we still saw a lot of people riding the waves. This was our favorite spot on the island. The beach wasn't crowded, the water was clear, and the little town was cute and quaint.

Later that evening, we went to a Luau and show at the Polynesian Cultural Arts Center. The next day, our departure day, we drove up Diamond Head and saw Hanamana Bay.

Club Trip/Babymoon

We were fortunate enough that Jason's company awarded him with a trip to Maui to celebrate all the hard work he's put in over the past year! So, we decided to extend the trip a few days, break up the flight, and see San Francisco, Oahu and Maui. Luckily, our family pitched in and watched Colby so we could get away for a few days before baby #2 arrives (in a few weeks!). The next few posts are from our trip.

Since the flight is so long, and I'm very pregnant, we had an overnight layover in San Francisco. We arrived just before lunch and enjoyed seeing the sights, although it was a lot cooler there than we anticipated.

First, we stopped off at Boudin for some delicious sourdough bread bowls. Mmmm

The crazy hill we walked up to get to Lombard Street. We asked someone how to get to the BOTTOM of Lombard Street, but they sent us to the top, and the hill we walked was ridiculous. My calves were hurting so bad for 4 days!

Next post, we're off to OAHU!
