We spent the week in VA with our families eating lots of great food and spending time with everyone. Logan with his Gigi & Uncle Matt All the kids trying to squeeze in! Lilly, or Lillybird as Colby likes to call her, is so sweet. We had a great time seeing everyone, and even managed to squeeze in a little Black Friday shopping.
My little boys are growing up so fast. Here's a card I recently created through Shutterfly to show how fast Logan is growing. He's 4 months now. Time is flying by!
We were talking to Colby on our way out to visit family this Thanksgiving about why we celebrate Thanksgiving and what we're thankful for. When we asked Colby what he was thankful for, he said, "my mommy, my daddy, Logan, Nana, Gigi, Pa, Grandad, Grandma, Uncle Matt, Uncle Adam, Aunt Niki, Aunt Amy, Shawnie, Emma, Jacob, Lillybird and my cars". He can't forget his cars!
My dad gave us this rocking chair over the weekend. Logan sat in it for awhile, and seemed to really like it. I love his little expression in this one.
Logan sat up for a couple seconds by himself! Long enough for me to snap a picture anyways! He's starting to show interest in his toys, and he kicks his legs when he gets excited about something.
Colby's school had a Fall Harvest Party. They all wore the crafts they made at school that month...a handprint turkey shirt, turkey leg hat, macaroni necklaces, and drums. Parents were invited to the feast, and they all beat their drums to music. It was really cute to watch.
My very good friend, Nadine, came for a visit with her twins from Luxembourg. We had such a great time playing with the kids, catching up, and making homemade cinnamon rolls. Colby & Siena having dinner Sweet Siena Siena & Kili Playdough is fun!
Nadine and I took the kids to Baltimore to visit our friend Nicole and her new baby Adelyn. We tried to get a picture of all the kids and moms together, but that was next to impossible to get 5 toddlers, 2 infants, and 3 moms to sit still together!
We had a nice day, so we went outside to play for a little while while Logan was taking a nap. What he does most of the time...RUNNING! :) Wishing this was in focus, but I still love his little face anyways.
My grandparents who live in NC came for a visit for my cousin's baby shower. So, we all got together so they could see the kids and meet Logan for the first time. Colby had a ball playing with Grandpa Fish!
The week before Halloween, we all were hit with a terrible stomach virus. It's awful to watch your little boys throw up!
On a better note, I took Colby & Logan out trick or treating. Colby was a little timid at the first house, but when he turned around, he had the biggest smile on his face and said, "I got candy! I want to go to another one!". After he got a lollipop at one house, he would then report to me whether or not he got a lollipop at each house. It was really cute. Our little pumpkin Fireman Colby
We took a quick trip up to Deep Creek Lake for Jason's birthday. We stayed in the sameplace as last year, up in the woods. We had one rainy day, but we had a relaxing time anyways.
It's football season! Time to cheer on our favorite team...the Washington Redskins! Colby, Logan, and even Mom & Dad are all wearing our Redskins garb to help the Skins beat the Dallas Cowboys! Go Skins!
Colby is doing such a great job as a big brother! He helps out by bringing us Logan's paci or blanket, helps change diapers, and holds Logan's hand when he's fussy. Here are some of my favorite pictures so far of Colby loving on his little brother. I take a lot more pictures with my phone these days since it's easier to hold than my DSLR, so these 2 aren't as good, but I still like them of our 2 boys.
Colby started a pre-school co-op program this week. He was so excited to wear his backpack and go to school. Everything went well the first day, so we'll see how it goes next week!
We spent a fun long weekend in Rehoboth Beach for Labor Day weekend with Gigi (Jason's mom) and Uncle Matt. Colby enjoyed playing on the beach and walking the boardwalk. Logan did well too since the weather wasn't too hot and there was a nice breeze. He did great at night and has started sleeping 4-5 hours at a time! Mommy is happy about that! :) Colby is VERY excited to be at the beach! :) After Hurrican Earl came through, the water was covering most of the beach and left little pools for the kids to play in.
Logan woke me up early, so we took a walk on the beach and saw lots of dolphins swimming by and a nice sunrise.
Later that night, we saw a beautiful sunset in Dewey
On the way home, Logan got fussy in the car seat, so Colby wanted to hold his hand to help calm him down. A few minutes later, they were both asleep and still holding hands! So cute!
