Beautiful, Amazing....Lake Tahoe!

We flew out to Sacramento, CA to meet 2 of my college roommates for a vacay in Lake Tahoe. Kelley and her husband and little girl live outside Sacramento. So, Michaela and I (and our hubbies) flew out and we all drove out to the lake. I've never been to Lake Tahoe, so I was very excited and didn't really know what to expect. It was incredible. I had the best time enjoying the view, spending time on the water, checking out the casinos, cooking and hanging out with my friends.

It was a little chilly, but very sunny the whole trip, so we just had to get out on the water. We rented a boat for the day and explored the whole lake. The water is crystal clear, and you could see down 70 feet!

On the way back to Sacramento, Jason and I drove the long way back around the lake. This was an area called Emerald Bay. The water is very green here.

It was such a great trip. We're already talking about making this a yearly trip!

Soccer

Colby is officially in sports now. We started him in a little soccer group nearby.

Rehoboth

We had a great vacation at Rehoboth Beach, DE. Colby and Logan really enjoyed all the rides. This was Logan's first time on at the amusement park, so it took a couple turns around, but then he had a ball! We spent a lot of time on the beach building sand castles, playing with water buckets, and just having a good time.

Logan Turns ONE!

Happy 1st Birthday to our sweet little boy! I can't believe how fast this year has gone by. My boys are growing soo fast! Too fast.

Amy Gets Married!

My beautiful little sister got married July 9th in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. After a torrentuous rainy morning, the skies cleared, and it was a gorgeous day for a wedding!

It was a fun day, and we're really happy for Amy, Shawn & Emma!

Beach Day

We had a great day at the beach. Colby loved "surfing the waves" with his boogie board.

4th of July

We spent the week of July 4th in Nags Head, NC gearing up for my sister's big wedding! For the 4th, we watched fireworks in Manteo, over the water.

Father's Day

Colby has expressed interested in wanting to ride his bike without training wheels. So, we took them off this weekend, and gave him his first lesson. He still has a ways to go, but he's getting more and more comfortable withouth the training wheels each time we go out.

Pa has a very cool Batmobile at his house which Colby & Logan enjoyed riding around the cul-de-sac.

We also drove over to Algonkian Park to the playground, and Pa showed us some cool trees to hide in.

Fingerpainting

When Colby was a baby, about 10 months old, I tried fingerpainting a picture for Jason's birthday. Logan is 10 months old now, so I decided to try it with him for Father's Day.
