Dueling Spidermen

I took the boys to the mall for a Family Fun Day, and they got their faces painted like Spidermen.

Piggyback

Karate Belt

Colby has started taking Karate classes. He had to earn his first white belt. So, after 8 classes, he was very excited to get his first belt!

BMX Opening Day

We went to the Chesapeake BMX track for opening day.

Logan had fun with his Strider bike, and Jason got his some official BMX gloves.

Holy Cow

We took the boys to a local park that has a huge playground and a 4H farm with animals. I got a few shots with this cow that I thought were pretty cool.

Bedtime Buddies

The past few weeks, after we read the boys a few stories and say goodnight, Logan has been climbing into Colby's bed, Then, Colby has been "reading" stories to his brother. It's the cutest thing to go upstairs and see them sound asleep all snuggled up next to each other, surrounded by a truckload of books! :)

6 months

Gavin at 6 months:

We love this sweet little boy. He's the happiest little guy. So mellow. So calm. So easy going.

Gavin at 5 months

likes:
your new exersaucer, walker, cuddling, sucking your thumb and fingers, spitting up {because you do it so much}, screaming at the top of your lungs when you're mad, putting things in your mouth

dislikes:
the car seat, the paci sometimes (hence the screaming at the top of your lungs)

what you're doing now:

still love sucking on your thumb and fingers (and ours too!), you make lots of squeaks and squawks at us, you can roll from tummy to back and back to tummy now, you can almost sit up on your own

Wisp Ski Trip

We took the boys to Wisp for New Years. Colby got to go skiing with his daddy, and he had a great time! By the end of the trip, he was skiing down the mountain (short stretches) on his own. Pretty soon, he'll be a better skiier than his mom! :)

We went tubing too. Colby was very nervous at the top, and had a frightened look all the way down, but as soon as we got to the bottom, he exclaimed "That was the so fun! I want to do that again!". His face was still scared looking everytime we went down, but he kept telling me how much fun he was having!! :)

Colby is FIVE!

Where have the past 5 years gone?!?!

My sweet, energetic, rambunctious, yet sometimes shy Colby turned 5! 

I can't believe he came into this world (rather quickly) 5 years ago. 

We had a Superhero style birthday party for him. Here's the cake I made and decorated.

Elfie Buzz

We started the Elf on a Shelf tradition at our house last year, and the boys had a ball looking for him each morning. Our elf is named Elfie Buzz, and he returned this morning! The boys were very excited to find him and see a note from Santa along with a little craft & book.

I can't wait to see their reactions to some of the mischief Elfie Buzz gets into this year! :)
